Class of 2009
Donna Rozycki
A
Chicago born native, Donna Rozycki raised her family in
Bloomingdale, IL in Du Page County for the last 20
years. The quality of life it provides, its beauty and
its people make her feel very blessed to call it home.
Her career has taken her to different places over time;
Executive Assistant for the Wirtz Corporation and
Chicago Blackhawks, working as Marketing and Account
Manager for GE Money and Lifetime Financial, both
leading mortgage companies. The absolute joy in her life
is raising her daughter Katlyn Marie and caring for her
90 years young father who shares her home.
Donna has been privileged to
serve on the fundraising committees for St. Jude Children’s
Hospital raising thirty five thousand dollars a year to help
dedicated physicians find cures for sick children and Blackhawk
Charities, which help inner city children. St Isidore is her
parish church ministry where she brings hand-sewn blankets,
which are sent to those who need comfort.
She
is born of immigrant grandparents of Italian decent. Her passion
for family friends and traditions are deeply rooted in her.
Donna is honored to serve the people of her town, being a
Committeeman for the Bloomingdale Township Republican Party. She
also serves as an Ambassador for the Bloomingdale Chamber of
Commerce, where her responsibility is to guide and connect
businesses with each other to help them flourish. She recently
worked on the campaign trail with Senator Carole Pankau. “She is
an example of what women raising children and juggling a career
can do when they put their minds to it. Carole is a proud woman
who leads with integrity and grace. Her support and friendship
is a constant source of strength for me.”
“To be selected to the Lincoln Series is an
honor and privilege. Its leaders and their experience,
knowledge, and passion will shape all who come after them. One
by one they are shaping and building the foundation of
government for the future. I believe wholeheartedly sharing the
upcoming year with such phenomenal women can only make us better
people and stronger leaders. I am anxiously waiting to learn and
share that common thread that bonds us in the spirit of public
service.”
