Sue Urasky
Sue Urasky was raised in Chicago and moved to Naperville in
1973. She worked at Edward Hospital and graduated as a
Registered Nurse in 1983. She then became a medical sales
representative in Chicago. Furthering her career, she took
a position with a Johnson & Johnson company and moved to
California with her husband Pete. Later, following her
husband’s career, transferred to Maui, Hawaii, where their
daughter, Ali was born. After 5 1/2 years she returned to
DuPage County and now resides in Naperville in the same house
she grew up in. While enjoying raising their daughter, Sue
has worked for several physicians as a Registered Nurse in
nursing and marketing.
Sue recent employment was the opportunity to work on a campaign
for the Governor's Race during the February 2nd Primary, working
as the Statewide Volunteer Coordinator.
Sue’s political involvement began during the last
Gubernatorial Race, and then she became a
Precinct Committeeman in
Lisle Township and began volunteering for various campaigns
for local, state and federal candidates and at the DuPage
Republican Headquarters. She chaired a record breaking
fundraising for their Lisle Township Republican Organization’s
Annual Brunch and Golf Outing and received the Chairman’s Award.
Sue
just recently reappointed to her second term serves as a State
Certified Trustee for the
Lisle Woodridge Fire Protection District (LWFPD).
She serves as the Treasurer for LWFPD and represents the
District on their Pension Board. Sue is a member of the
Illinois Association of Fire Protection Districts and the
Northern Illinois Association of Fire Protection Districts.
Sue was elected this past January as the
President of the
Naperville Area Republican Women’s Organization (NARWO) and
is a member of National Federation of Republican Women and
Illinois Federation of Republican Women.
Sue helped coordinate the Medical Clinic for Trinity Lutheran
Church, in Lisle. Sue also coordinated a First Responder
Medical Team with Lutheran Church Charities for Katrina Relief
in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She volunteered as a Registered
Nurse for a 635 bed shelter in a make-shift clinic for Katrina
Flood Victim’s.
Sue’s family means the most to her and she treasures the time
spent with her husband Pete and daughter Ali.
