Stephanie Yousef
Stephanie
Yousef is from Champaign, IL and currently attends Parkland
College graduating with an Associates Degree in Political
Science in May. She intends on transferring to the University of
Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the fall of 2009 working to
achieve a Bachelors Degree in International Studies.
Stephanie is very active at
college, in her community, and in the local Republican Party. In
college she is the President of Student Government, the
President of Rotaract, a service based organization, and the
Vice President of Leadership for Phi Theta Kappa, the honors
society of a two-year college. Public Service is extremely
important to Stephanie as reflected in her involvement with
these organizations.
She first got involved in her
local Republican Party her freshman year of high school. She
maintained databases at the headquarters, participated in phone
banking, and many mailings. As she got older and started
learning more, she took part in campaigns, and the exciting
events of politics. Stephanie is now a precinct committeewoman
for the Champaign Republican Party and recently announced her
candidacy for the local school board.
She notes, “I have many goals that I would like to
achieve and many issues that are dearest to my heart such as
education. I intend to continue being active in politics.”
