Jennifer Ross (Barry)

Jennifer Ross is a 1997 graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences, majoring in Speech Communication.  She received her Master of Science in International Relations in 2003 from Troy State University.  After graduating from the U of I, Jennifer worked for a health insurance company as the youngest Broker Manager.  In 1999, Jennifer joined the Illinois House of Representatives-Republican Staff.  While on the House Republican Staff, Jennifer was the analyst for Environment and Energy, Public Utilities, Telecommunications and Education.   

After leaving Staff, Jennifer became an Illinois Registered lobbyist for J.D. Ross and Associates, Inc.  Serving as the Vice-President of J.D. Ross and Associates, Inc, Jennifer represents various clients’ legislative and budgetary needs.  Jennifer is also the President of School Data 4 All, Inc., a company she formed to work with school districts’ school improvement needs across the country. 

Jennifer is an Ambassador for the Pike County Illinois Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Competitive Community Initiative for Barry, IL.  She is also active in her children’s school district’s PTO serving as Treasurer.  Outside of work, Jennifer teaches dance classes at Karmon’s Dance Academy.

Jennifer resides in Barry, IL with her husband of 9 years, Derek Ross.  They have two children, a daughter, Jensen and a son, Dylan.
