Katherine
Coyle (Peoria)
Class of 2007

Katherine Coyle is a passionate advocate for education.
On any given day, you may find her at one or all of four
educational institutions she supports with her time.
When not teaching at Bradley University, she is an elected
trustee for Illinois Central College, a reading tutor for inner city
youth at Garfield Elementary and room mother for her daughter’s school,
St. Vincent de Paul Grade School.
Coyle’s involvement with the Lincoln Series began in 2006 when her boss,
then State Representative Aaron Schock, mentioned the program.
At that time, Coyle was working for Schock as his Community
Outreach Coordinator in the 92nd House District.
She later went on to serve as
Schock’s Field Director during his 2007-2008 run for Congress.
Outside of the field of education, Coyle is the 18th
Congressional District Deputy State Central Committee Member on the
Illinois Republican State Central Committee, Vice President of her
homeowner’s association, Vice President of the Sigma Kappa Beta Nu
Housing Corporation Board, St. Vincent de Paul Silent Auction Chairman,
and was recently appointed by the mayor to serve on the Human Resources
Commission. Coyle and her husband Peter have two daughters and reside in
Peoria.
