Harmony Dean Harrington: Harmony is currently a Staff Attorney for Illinois House Republican Leader Tom Cross focusing in the area of Civil Law.
Previous to joining the House Republican Staff, Harmony worked for the Office of the Lieutenant Governor during two administrations.
During her tenure in the Office of the Lt. Governor, she has held numerous positions from Travel Aide to Director of Operations to Legislative Director, Legal Policy Assistant for Environmental policy issues, and as Director for the Illinois River Coordinating Council.
During the 2002 Gubernatorial Primary in
Illinois, Harmony served as Finance Director for the Wood for Governor campaign and developed and executed a statewide fundraising plan including the coordination of over 100 fundraising and grassroots events and the Wood for Governor Finance Committee.
While gaining solid governmental and political experience, Harmony juggled four years of law school and recently, graduated from Loyola University of Chicago College of Law in May of 2003.
She tackled the Illinois State Bar in July of 2003 and was admitted to practice in
Illinois in November 2003.
Previous to her time in the Office of the Lt. Governor, Harmony served as Legislative Aide to then, State Representative Corinne Wood and also, worked as a Family Educator at Maryville Academy of Youth in
Des Plaines.
Outside of work, Harmony teaches the Fifth Grade Sunday School class at St. Michael’s of Old Town in
Chicago and recently in September 2004, married Bob Harrington, also an attorney.
