Susan Newton
Susan
L. Newton is a part time manager for a family owned printing
firm and also is currently serving as the Field Director for the
Darin LaHood Peoria County State’s Attorney campaign.
Susan is a graduate of University of Dayton, where she
earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and minored in
Marketing and History.
After residing and working in the print industry in
Charlotte, North Carolina for six years, Susan and her husband,
Mark, returned to their hometown of Peoria, IL to raise their
young family (Ella-7, Samuel-6, Vincent-3, Max-2).
Besides being the Treasurer of the Peoria
County Republican Women, Susan serves on the St. Vincent de Paul
Board of Education and the Multiple Sclerosis Society
Fundraising Committee.
Her volunteer activities further extend to serving as the
Registration Chairman for the 2007 Marine Corp. Trot 4 Tots
Race, Grant Development chairman for Junior League of Peoria,
Holiday Bazaar Publicity co-chair for St. Vincent de Paul
Women’s Guild, as well as volunteering for the Central Illinois
Alzheimer’s Association.
Additionally, she is very involved with her children’s
school and is the Brownie Leader for her daughter’s second grade
class, and a room mother for the 2007-08 school year.
Susan is looking forward to utilizing the
wealth of information the Lincoln Series will offer her so that
she can make a positive impact on the Republican Party.
