Spencer,
Peoria, graduated with high honors from University of Illinois
at Springfield with a Master’s Degree in Legal Studies in 2006.
Deb’s studies focused on The General Assembly and
effecting legislative change.
To that end she participated in a graduate internship
with State Representative Aaron Schock.
After graduation, Deb worked on the 46th
District State Senate campaign for Ernie Russell directly
assisting the candidate and campaign manager in grass roots
support and fundraising.
For the past year, Deb has been building the Eastern Bypass
Regional Coalition, Inc., an advocacy group in support of
finishing an important Tri-County regional transportation
project. Her duties
involve public education, membership and fundraising as well as
monitoring legislation and informing state and federal
legislators of the necessity of ongoing appropriations for this
important economic development project.
Deb is currently the Vice President of the Peoria Young
Republicans, and a member of the Peoria County Republican Women.
Additionally, she is a co-Vice President of the St.
Thomas Catholic School PTO and a member of St. Thomas Church in
Peoria Heights.
Deb’s proudest achievements are her two children Max, who
is a freshman at Peoria Notre Dame High School and Bailey, who
is a first grader at St. Thomas Catholic School.
