Why should I apply?
Each of the Fellows who have already completed the Lincoln Series, and those preparing to graduate in October, may also have asked themselves that question. It is a reasonable thing to ponder.
If you are interested, or think you are interested, in learning about public service, this is an opportunity to be exposed to many, many areas of public service and government. And it is not the government book your mother read either. It is an opportunity to meet, talk with or eat with the key Republican players at a local, state and federal level.
Or does gelato with the Italian Ambassador in Washington, DC sound interesting? You won’t get that experience from the old government book.. Lincoln Series Fellows experience international public policy issues too.
Do you enjoy honing or learning new skills? How about working with a speech coach to improve your public speaking skills? Sometimes it is a little painful, but ultimately extremely helpful and a skill that will last your lifetime.
Are you a hard worker, follow through on your commitments, enjoy learning new things and meeting new people, want to expand your networking and support systems and finally, play well with others? This experience is something you should not miss. Apply now for a lifetime of “good things.”
